Celebrate Australia Day at Rippleside Park with over 30 FREE activities and community displays for families and children to enjoy.
The event starts at 11.00 am and concludes at 4.00 pm with the flag-raising and opening address ceremony at 1.00 pm.
The FREE activities will include: amusement rides, train rides, jumping castles, face painting, animal nursery and much more.
Stage Entertainment includes Geelong’s own Dazzling Dan The Magic Man along with the Scottish Dancers and Geelong Memorial Brass Band and much more.

To make the day more friendly and easy for families, there is adequate free parking provided on the site.
Visitors are also encouraged to bring a picnic lunch or there will be food vendor’s onsite at reasonable rates.

Lions Club of Ocean Grove Barwon Heads will be celebrating Australia Day 2019 by providing a free Kids Kite Construction and Flying Day on the beach at Ocean Grove.
The Lions Club Ocean Grove Barwon Heads are providing the materials and will show the kids how to make the kites. In short time the skies of Ocean Grove will be awash with kites.
Bookings are not needed. Just turn up.
This is an annual project for us and 200 kites are made each year.

Everyone is invited to Council’s Australia Day Celebration at the Queenscliff Town Hall, 50 Learmonth Street, Queenscliff, on Saturday 26 January 2019.

The Queenscliffe Community Nursery gives away a free native tree to each family at the celebration, a sausage sizzle will be provided by the Lions Club and there are lots of fun children’s activities on offer.

The Festival of Sails annually attracts around 300 yachts and 4,500 sailing competitors to Melbourne and Geelong over the Australia Day holiday period.
With over 15 different race series catering from the highest performance Grand Prix racers to trailable cruisers, the varied race action is sure to offer something for everyone, and spectators will certainly not be disappointed.
First held in 1844, the Festival of Sails is Victoria’s oldest ongoing sporting event, and the largest annual keel boat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere.
For those not competing on-water, there is plenty of shore-side excitement taking place with over 100,000 people flocking to the stunning Waterfront Geelong over the Australia Day holiday period to be part of the excitement.
The Fireworks Extravaganza will take place on the Geelong Waterfront on Australia Day, 26 January 2019.
