Changes to Rental Legislation

There has been a recent news article titled “Victorian tenants given right to have a pet under sweeping changes to rental laws” which was published 8th October 2017 on ABC News Website.

Consumer Affairs Victoria website regarding new legislation (here) advises the following
“Following consultation on the options, the Victorian Government will settle a comprehensive reform package and make decisions that will form the basis of the development of new legislation and regulations to be introduced into the Victorian Parliament in early 2018.”

The Victorian Government’s website “Fairer Safer Housing” advises
“It is anticipated that the review will be completed by early to mid-2018. To stay informed, complete the registration form on the right hand side of this website. For more about Fairer Safer Housing, view the FAQ section.”
